About Dr. Clark

Passion springs from mysterious sources. I was not born to a family of doctors and lawyers, but of carpenters and musicians. I was not cut from cloth of the educated elite, or even from the minimally educated. Loving, kind and absolutely brilliant, few in my family have graduated from high school.
I have always been curious about the world that surrounds me and the fascinating people who inhabit in it. I knew from a young age that education would help lead me to a fulfilling life, free of dull moments; the wonderful practice of naturopathic medicine and (soon to include) acupuncture, has proven this to be true.
I am a licensed naturopathic physician, graduated from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I completed a year residency in general family practice at NCNM's teaching clinics, with a focus on women's health and gastrointestinal conditions. I enjoy working with women’s health, gluten sensitivity/intolerance, endocrine imbalances, lymphatic disorders, parasites and general digestive health. I assist my clients to see the larger connection between health, physiology, nutrition, community and environment. In my practice I blend the best of conventional medicine diagnostics with proven and effective natural therapies such as spinal alignment, nutrition and herbs, acupuncture, massage. homeopathy, flower essences and IV therapy.
Health and medicine are a lot like stories from the Scotland Yard - seemingly mysterious to the untrained senses. I absolutely love using the skills I have learned from my teachers to help you understand the very source of your illness and discomfort. From blood tests and labwork, to MRI's and the ancient art of the Chinese system of pulse reading, I am committed to helping you find solutions to your health concerns. I love working with those who are motivated to reach for optimal wellness and vibrant health and I am passionate about providing women and men with respectful health care services.
Having spent two years living and studying at the University of Guanajuato, in Guanajuato, Mexico, I am fluent in Spanish and able to fully care for Spanish-speaking patients without an interpreter.
When not immersed in patient care at my clinic or learning all that I can at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, I love walking in the sunshine
(which is as valuable as gold in the Pacific Northwest!), and will complete my 4th Portland Marathon this year. I love traveling to sunny places, growing herbs in my garden and tending to my active hive of honey bees!
